Vegas…

Post image for Vegas…

It’s been a while since i’ve posted (partly due to wordpress weirdness striking back – as you might have read previously wordpress and I enjoy a love hate relationship – but i’ll save that story for another post). For now, I just want to write a quick post to tell you all about Vegas, my new ebook, my second video, and what’s coming…

So… I recently returned from Alex Jeffreys’ Workshop in Vegas.

It was great to finally meet some of my fellow marketers and students in person and to hang out with a bunch of people who you can say “Google Slap” to and they don’t think you’re being kinky ;-)

But seriously if you haven’t been to an event yet, I cannot recommed getting yourself to one strongly enough for 2 main reasons:

Reason 1) The quality seminars.

We had great presentations by Alex, Stephanie Mulac, Jit Uppal, Dean Holland & Adam Spiel – If any of you are reading this then thanks again!!

These seminars all contained quite a few eye-opening “ah-ha” moments so I’d be amazed if anyone came away from these 2 days without AT LEAST 3 powerful things they can implement in their own business.

Plus it was inspirational to see how far people like Jit, Dean & Adam (who were members of Alex’s very first coaching program) had come along their journey.

Credit also to Garry Parkes who ensured the smooth running of the event throughout. Great job Garry and Thanks!

Reason 2) The “Networking”.

As if the workshop wasn’t value enough, the time spent hanging out in the bar, forging freindships, getting JV partners and getting EVEN MORE tips, tricks & advice from the guys already walking the walk was priceless.

Paul Wilson a.k.a “who is” (sorry mate but I think you’re stuck with that one), Marcus Passey, Garry Parkes, Guy Hague, Graeme Ashe, Ross Vegas, Gary Simpson, David ‘food critic’ Walker, Dean Oram, Dean Holland, Dan Briffa, Marc ‘the rohypnotist’ Milburn, Jit Uppal & of course Alex – it was a pleasure gents, and I look forward to hanging out with you all again sometime soon! …until then…one for the road ;-)
onefortheroad

now back to business….

I’ve just finished my second eBook all about building your online business on solid foundations.

I’m just giving it away for free with NO EMAIL REQUIRED for now (part of a plan but i’ll get to that in a later post) so it’d be great for you to grab it and let me know your thoughts on the feedback page. I hope you enjoy!

Building Solid Foundations

Just click the cover to claim your complementary copy or log into your free members area account. If you’ve not got an account yet then get one HERE.

I’ve also just finished my second video; my blog welcome video is done. It’s not perfect but I’m getting better at video. Hope you enjoy it and again your feedback would be very much appreciated

And finally, a quick note about what’s coming next…

I’m working on the ‘Getting Technical’ video tutorial series (this comes after Step 1 – Building Solid Foundations & Step 2 – The Busy Fool Elimination Method) and will cover Step 3 – Setting up your Blog. I’ll be setting up a brand new example site from the VERY beginning….

Getting Technical Video Series

As always it’s great to hear your comments particularly regarding what you want to see in the videos, so show me you’re alive!

Until next time. Take Action & Enjoy!

Thanks for the feedback on my blog and my video mate…I tried checking over at yours (www.deanoram.com) but it was just returning a blank screen! Hi Rob,

Sorry again for inadvertently missing your name off my blog round-up of what happened in Vegas.

Oddly enough not all that many of those who were in Vegas have been talking about it on their blogs. Mine being the exception – of course – coz I blab about everything. LOL!

What happens in Vegas doesn’t stay in Vegas over at the TEMPLE.

We all had such a great time. Work aside the value (at least for me) is just in catching up with everybody and having a chat IN PERSON. (Something I am kinda “known” to do).

It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife – who you HID from us until the last day. Wise move BTW. Only limited time for us to “corrupt” her. LOL!

GazzMan – what a pleasure to have the man from the TEMPLE stop by over here at my little blog!! :-)

No worries for missing me out…we only got to speak briefly a couple of times but we did have a laugh and you did pass on a few golden nuggets of info so thank you mate!! <– (Listen to Gary he's a smart man.)

LOL – I know, take Sam to Vegas with me and she gets sick till the last day. Not quite my wife yet, though we have sorted the venue and date since Vegas so the countdown is on :-)

Hope to spend a bit more time with you next time around (whenever that is) and I hope all is well mate.

Stay in touch.

Hey Rob,

It was great to meet you in Vegas and I am looking forward to learning more about you over the next few months!

You are alright, not like your typical Leeds fan, haha!

It looks like you have been quite prolific already in terms of product creation – the designs are cool, did you do them yourself?

Speak to you soon.

Hey David,

Was great to meet you too!!

Didn’t get to spend much time with you until the “food critic” buffet on the last day before the airport so looking forward to chatting more at the next event – you’re alright for a Cardiff fan lol ;-)

Thanks for the kind comments about the designs – I’m pretty happy with how they’ve turned out and I wanted them to stand out a bit!

I do my own design work though I’m not an artist so I like to purchase some graphics to play around with for use in the designs, which I then make into the ebooks or dvd cases etc. (more work went into the Busy Fool Cover than the Solid Foundations one – depends on the original graphics). I’m not an expert but if you ever want some help, in the graphics department, get in touch and I’ll see if I can!! ;-)

Stay in touch mate!

Congratulations on your new ebook, I’ll have to grab a copy.

Talk real soon mate

Dude that was such a funny night!!

“I tell you what Paul, let’s be sensible tonight so when the others go to the club we’ll have one for the road and then call it a night so we’re fresh for the seminar tomorrow…after all that’s what we’re here for!”…

….

4-5 hours later we had our final “one for the road” and made our way back to the rooms; getting in later than the people who went to the club :-) :-) …

but (fuzzy headed and bleary-eyed) we still made it to the workshop on time!!

Top man and great times!!!

Catch ya soon “Who Is” ;-)

Thanks for your very cool feedback about my blog and the video – I’m really pleased the camera turned out to be waterproof (that really was the first time I tested it!).

how did you get the pics together like that on this post.

It’s just a montage done in (Adobe) Photoshop – I have a little previous experience doing web design so I’m OK with graphics.

Both David and Sean have asked me about graphics so I’ll extend the same offer to you mate: If you ever want and help just get in touch and if I can help you out I will do.

Hi Rob,

Was going to leave a comment on your most recent post, but it wouldn’t let me! :(

I agree seminars are awesome and should be attended where ever possible. Although I think Las Vegas is a bit far for me at the moment coming from Australia with a 2 year old. The logistics are not good on that one. ;)

Sounds like you had a great time. :) I just had a look around your site. I really like the collage photos you have created, how did you do that?

I hope all is going well. Thanks for visiting my blog earlier! :P

Hey Jacinta,

It seems a few people experienced the same problem! I guess Wordpress and me are going to face off in another round! LOL!

I tried leaving a comment myself and found that I couldn’t either…

Looked into it and couldn’t see any obvious reason why it wasn’t working so unchecked and re-checked the allow comments box and updated the post…

Seems to be working now as one person has made a comment there since so for now all is calm on the Wordpress front ;-)

I see you logistical problem but I do hope that you make it to a meet up one time, you’ll really enjoy it!

Just made the collage photos using Adobe Photoshop – I’m not a graphics expert but if you ever want help with graphics get in touch and if I can help I will :-)

Thanks for stopping by here!

Your video is well done and you are very persuasive there.

Congrats on making another product.

I’ll be back to see how you’re doing.

Your Comment Luv plug in works a bit differently than the ones on other blogs it seems at least in combination with my blog.

I may have to experiment with it.
